Money Game Event Specifics!
Tailer-Made Money Game Events
Regardless of your group of kids/teens or adults, we customize each event according the age and group of players you’re putting together. Experience tells us that kids really need to be 10 years old to start to grasp the concepts they learn from playing the game.
Girlfriend Money Game Events
Women all over the world are struggling financially and it stems from not having learned the basics when we were young girls. We also love learning, sharing and growing in groups. So, it makes total sense to learn about money and investing in a room full of other women! And yes, you can bring wine and brownies!
Space Required for Money Game Events
Money Game Events are physically active. This means you’re learning by doing, i.e., we simulate, albeit in a very fun way, what happens in real life with money. Given this, here are some guidelines in terms of space requirements:
• For younger kids (ages 10-14ish), the more space the better! The game requires either 11 folding chairs or table top space to hold game materials (expense and asset bags and other misc. supplies).
• We need to be able to make noise and play music.
• We need to be able to put a flipchart on a wall (with painter’s tape of course) or set up a flipchart that won’t fall over.
• OUTSIDE venues: this is doable and of course, if it’s windy, freezing or raining, this doesn’t work. LOL
• Just give us a call to explore options. 805-637-7888
Birthday Party
I know bouncy things are all the rage these days but what if, after three hours at a Money Game Birthday Party event, all of the kids, aka Players, go home knowing financial principles they can use forever? AND what if they go teach other kids or even their parents? What if we can create a ripple in the pond that sets up whole generations for financial savviness?
Bouncy is fun. Understanding money and investing as an adult is ‘way more funner’!
Other Money Game Event Notes
• MOOLA: Because we’re learning about money, and we use ‘moola’ as incentives during the event to encourage participation, it’s great to provide prizes that the players who accumulate the most moola (usually 3 top winners) can really enjoy.
• WINNER: We provide a cash prize of $20 for the first player to become financially free. If we’re playing a really abbreviated version of the game (under two hours), this is motified.
• PHONES: We ask that all phones and other electronic devices be put in a separate area so that no one is distracted. Parents with phones who want to take photos or videos is fine but kids and phones aren’t allowed.
• PARENT VOLUNTEERS: As you might imagine, the more adults we have who can assist (you’ll catch on quickly in terms of how to help), the better. We have one request of all adults…unless you are taking a photo or video, please put your phone on airplane mode and participate 100%.
